About me:
I am a sixth generation Texan. Being an Air Force brat, I am extremely thankful that my dad was stationed in Texas when I was born (granted it was in Lubbock, but whatever...I'm still a Texan). After a short stint in Lubbock (the first 6 months of my life), I have had the privilege of living in Austin, South Carolina, Washington DC, Hawai'i, and Germany.
I work in politics, but that doesn't mean I enjoy talking politics. If you want to discuss current events or political things, please do so during office hours. Once I'm finished with work, it's the last thing I want to discuss.
People ask me what I do in politics. Good question! For the non-political people of the world, let's just call me a Political Analyst. For the political people, I do a lot of work on identifying/targeting voters and then assisting with getting them to vote for our people. This means building a database of all 12 million voters in the state. Fun stuff.
I got my pilot's license in 2004. Yes, I have followed in my father's footsteps. I do not own my own plane, but I would like to. I don't get to fly as much as I want to, though (once every few weeks)...but I still love it. And if you'd like, I'd be more than happy to take a passenger or two up with me for a tour of Austin from the air.
My other passion is Longhorn football (or any UT sport). And yes, I can die happy now because of the Rose Bowl.
I'd love to give you some deep analysis of me and who I am, but that's just not my style. If you don't know me, just ask my friends about me. It is important to note, though, that I absolutely hate sarcasm!
