SEND MORE COPS BIO!
TOMMY INGHAM - LEAD VOCALS Born and raised in Detroit Mi. Both parents were professional singers at one time and as a kid I was cutting teeth on big band stuff like Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey. I started my singing career at 16 in a typical high school garage band. Things moved pretty fast from that point. I joined up with Detroit's eastside wonder "EZRA" and started paying dues in the clubs for a couple of years. Still a little green but with the heart of a lion I joined forces with "WEAPONS". We had two studio releases, Captive Audience and Second Thoughts along with a live show recorded at the MARQUEE CLUB in LONDON, ENGLAND. In the late 80s after a brief stint with L.A Band RACER X I returned to Detroit to front the band "ROMEO ROCK". Winning The Yamaha International Sound check competition best unsigned vocalist award for two consecutive years (broadcast nationally on Fox). I was also featured on the cover of Gig Magazine in December of 1989.
I later put together "PLOW". This was a group with a little darker edge to it. After spending time in Germany the band came back to release the c.d. Jake in 95. Ive worked with a few other groups since then and spent a lot of time writing and recording for others. Some of the people I have had the pleasure of working with over the years are ROB TYNER (MC5 fame), SEBASTIAN BACH (Skid Row), JOHNNY Bee BADANJEK (The Rockets, Romantics) and many others.
This reformation of the GAYDOS/ INGHAM, team, along with the infamous GUNNER ROSS and Bass Player MARK ANDREWS, has proved to be nothing less than stellar. I am truly in awe of the talent that these boys have to share and consider it an honor to be part of SEND MORE COPS.
JOEY GAYDOS - GUITAR,VOCALS For me, it all started when I formed a band called Mugsy. Although MUGSY would prove to be a great live act, we only managed to release a single. Mugsy evolved into a brief but eventful outing know as Cub Koda and the Points. That lasted 2 years and we spit out 1 album, “Cub Koda and the Points“, and an EP called “Shake Yo Cakes“. Before Cub’s passing we re-united for one last time in 2000 and released “Noise Monkeys”.
In 1985 Mugsy morphed into Weapons. which released two albums, “Captive Audience” and “Second Thoughts“. I formed AZ.U.R (pronounced: as-you-are) late in the eighties and we put out my favorite CD, “Rock Like Pigz“. Simultaneously I recorded a CD with Rob Tyner(lead singer-MC5) called “Blood Brothers“. I then took an off ramp into blues-ville and released a self titled CD called Guitar Joey and the Best .Not to be forever labeled as the ”Hard Rock” guy, in 2004 I co-founded a great power-pop group along with Nick Piunti, Donn Deniston and Pete Bankert called The Respectables which has released 2 CD’s, “The Respectables” and “Sibley Gardens”.
After an endless stream of clubs, concerts, national and international tours, 2006 found me working with some of my past peers, namely Gunner Ross from The Almighty Strut, Tommy Ingham, from Weapons, and Pete Bankert, from Dark Carnival, know collectively as Send More Cops. In 2009 Send More Cops welcomed powerhouse bassist Mark Andrews formerly of Seduce into the fold, and we be kickin’ major ass now. Stay tuned. Get it…, tuned, that’s a guitar thing.
GUNNER ROSS - DRUMS, VOCALS I First gained national recognition with the Detroit based band THE ALMIGHTY STRUT. Our single CHEAP THRILL LOOKS became a regional hit and gained us featured interviews in CREAM, CIRCUS, and PENTHOUSE magazines. ROLLING STONE named me one of the top 40 drummers in the world. Eventually I hooked up with RICKY MEDLOCKE and for the next 3 years became the drummer for BLACKFOOT. During this period we toured the world and released what would be BLACKFOOTS last album, MEDICINE MAN .
For the next seven years I toured and recorded with the Motor City's guitar icon, TED NUGENT. I was featured on the single FRED BEAR, which became Ted's biggest selling record to date. During this period I also recorded THE SPIRIT OF THE WILD CD.
MARK ANDREWS - Bass, Vocals Born and raised on the Eastside of Detroit grew up listening to everything from Motown to Paganini spent years admiring bands like the Motor City Bad boys, Curbstone Beauties, The Almighty Strut, and the Cadillac Kids.
After a few tries, I formed a band called Seduce, dubbed “Detroit’s Power Trio” which I fronted being bassist and lead vocalist. Seduce released 2 albums “SEDUCE” on our own record company “Psycho mania Records” and “Too Much Ain’t Enough” on IRS Records, we were featured in the world renowned movie “Decline of the Western Civilization: The Metal Years”. Since Seduce I’ve played with numerous people, Wayne Cramer, Gary Hoey and Frankie Banalli, Randy Volin, Mick Stevens, Racy Biggs, Detroit Energy Asylum, Circus Boy to name a few on different projects and recordings. I’m very proud to be a part of Send More Cops, and looking forward to kicking Ass in a venue near you!!!!
