Quotes:
The leader must know, must know he knows, and must be able to make it abundantly clear to those about him that he knows. ~ Clarence B. Randall
I am always willing to learn, however I do not always like to be taught~ Sir Winston Churchill
Thomas Jefferson once said, 'We should never judge a president by his age, only by his works.' And ever since he told me that, I stopped worrying.
- Ronald Reagan
A stupid man's report of what a clever man says is never accurate because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand. ~ Bertrand Russell
We can't all be heroes because someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by. ~ Will Rogers
The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds the most discoveries, is not Eureka! but 'That's funny...’ ~ Issac Asimov
Although prepared for martyrdom, I preferred that it be postponed ~ Sir Winston Churchill
I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Beware the leader who beats the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into patriotic fervor, for patriotism is a double-edged sword. It emboldens the blood and narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need to seize the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." ~ Not sure where he got it, so I'll give credit to Steven Burns
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.
Shepards Prayer, From the Boondock Saints

About me:
I finished up my Masters a few months ago and moved back home until I find a job. I had planed on moving wherever… SC, NC, Virginia… Only problem is I started hanging around with some really cool people and my family more and don’t really want to leave. So I’ve been trying to find a job closer to home and have been called in for a few interviews, but keep getting the same basic “over qualified” line.
Other than the no job part, I’ve really enjoyed the past couple months. It has basically involved sleeping till 12pm, finding food, and then looking for who else is not working that day and can come outside to play. Its been everything from playing football, to sitting out by a campfire until 2am with all the chairs covered with ice.
Gotta admit, I miss WCU and the people more than I thought I would, but I am also enjoying being around my old friends and meeting new ones.

Who I'd like to meet:
(12-21-07)
This election term voters are having a hard time deciding which candidate to support. Polls have estimated around 40 percent of definite voters are still undecided, even though the Republican and Democrat candidate could be determined in early February. I am going to go ahead and make a prediction that the Democrats will put up Barack Obama for President and John Edwards for Vice President. The Republicans will put up Mitt Romney for President and Mike Huckabee for Vice President.
