こんにちは ­Senka!
お元気ですか？

３月に東北地方で起きた地震と津波を受けて、僕のバンド、Your Favorite Enemiesと僕自身も行動を起こすことを決意しました…この状況を前にして何もしないなんてことはできなかったんだ。まず初めにバンドはHopeプロジェクトを始めました。これはシンプルな希望の言葉で人々を勇気づけることを目的としたものです。何故なら僕達はたった一言でも人生を変えることができると信じているからです。たった一言、一つの行動が希望を与えられると信じています。そして今まさに希望こそ僕らが必要としているものだと思うんです！

このプロジェクトのために、僕らは日本に行くことにしました。僕らの願いはただ君たちと一緒に時を過ごすことです…僕にとって日本は故郷のように感じる場所だから。

そして僕のバンドは日本に居る間、３つの小さいコンサートをすることにしました…音楽には人を集め、希望を与える力があると信じているからです。５月２７日に大阪で、５月２８日に東京で、５月２９日に京都で、ライブをします。君が来てくれたらいいな！！！最後に日本でライブをしてからもう３年も経つんだ。今僕は中国でバンドと一緒にツアー中なんだけど…ここでも素晴らしい経験をしているよ。また日本に行って僕らの音楽と素晴らしい時間を、君と過ごすのがすごく楽しみだよ！人生、希望そして夢が生まれ、成長して花開くんだ！一緒にその瞬間を味わおうよ！

やぁ Yosuke！

５月２３日から３０日までバンドYour Favorite Enemiesとして日本に行けることになったんだ。とても嬉しいよ…あともう少しだね！日本に帰るのが待ちきれないんだ…日本は僕にとってふるさとみたいに感じる場所なんだよ！！！

今回日本を訪れる理由は、東北地方で起きた災害を受けて僕らが、独自に始めたHopeプロジェクトのためなんだ…全ての些細な行動や一言が人々の心に違いを生むと信じてるよ…希望は絶望の最中の唯一の光なんだ…そして今まさに希望が必要なんだよ！！!

Hopeプロジェクトを更にサポートするために、僕らはライブもやることにしたよ！！！僕らは５月２７日に大阪、２８日に東京、２９日に京都でライブをするよ！！！

去年の１１月、僕は映画"Voyage À La Mer”の撮影のために日本中を旅したけど、バンドYour Favorite Enemiesとして日本で最後にライブをしてからもう３年経つんだよ…時が過ぎるのは早いよね…だから大事なのは最大限に瞬間を生きることなんだ！！！

Dear friend

Here are two little videos of one of our members/instructors at Silverstrand Dojo International. Our little dojo is truly a humble creation with many wonderful members who are trying to walk their path peacefully while maintaining dignity and honor. As martial artists we must always remember that what we do is not about who is the strongest. What we do is about the search for enlightenment while doing our best to help others along the way. We truly hope you enjoy these humble videos.

Dear friend, to cultivate our spirit we must practice being creative. You see the creative process is essential not only to the well-being of the individual but also the well-being of everything in the universe. Without the creative process the universe becomes still and dormant which is exceptionally lifeless. So we should make time each and every day to freely express our self through art. The art can be of any form such as dance, painting, writing, or the creation of music. The form is unimportant but the creation of the beauty is extremely important. By creating beauty we are shining light through our universe and doing our part to calm contention and strife. The greater the beauty we create the more people will be drawn to the goodness of our work. We must ask ourselves what makes a beautiful work of art? The kind that a great number of people love and appreciate. Well the answer is truly simple. It is a work of art that reconnects each and every one of us as part of a universal family. So may this be the day that we take a moment or two to be creative and express ourselves freely. As we do this, may we trust and allow a higher power to flow through us creating something that is truly a light that will shine and unite!

Dear friend, we can categorize all our emotional states into two distinct groups and they are positive and negative. Very simply put anything that makes us feel good such as joy, satisfaction, love, humor, or tenderness to name a few would be classified as positive. Anything that makes us feel bad such as anger, sorrow, hatred, boredom, or harshness would be classified as negative. To find peace we must learn to choose and dwell in the positive state. In each of our lives unfortunate events will occur, this is natural! We must remember as these things occur we have the ability to choose which emotional state we will dwell in. If we unexpectedly lose our car we should thank the universe for giving us this beautiful opportunity to exercise our legs. If someone viciously attacks us we should thank the universe for giving us the opportunity to practice control, understanding, and compassion. By dwelling in this positive state we cleanse and purify our spirit. This will allow the goodness and strength of the universe to shine through us. So may this be the day when we dwell on all the positives that are all around us. As unfortunate things occur around us may we have the strength of spirit to search for the beauty that is always there. And of course may we always be thankful for all the wonderful gifts that the universe constantly gives.

Dear friend, sometimes we have great difficulties in believing in miracles. When this happens all we have to do is look in the mirror. By doing this we realize that life itself is so intricate and complicated that our very being is truly a miracle. This miracle which is life is connected to a series of miracles which forms the whole of the universe. As we breathe in and out, if we are sensitive and grateful we begin to feel the great connection. This great connection will give us everything we truly need. It brings us friendship and happiness if we just relax and accept that we are part of a greater whole. As we open up to the connection we realize that we have possibilities by the billions that we can freely choose from. We find that our life is not out of control or simply drifting, we find that our life has a greater calling all we have to do is seek our answer and it will present itself. So may this be the day that we awaken to the great miracle. May we take the time to feel the rhythm and the flow that is the breath of the universe. As we find the peace that the universe so freely gives, may we choose carefully from the billions of possibilities that are always available to us.
