The band have been playing under the name Sense Of Urgency for around 7 or 8 years now. They've played with a number of ther main influences such as the pietasters, lawrence arms, big d and mustard plug to name but a few but struggled to keep things going after the bass and sax player both left the band a few years back. After taking a break and a number of member changes, SOU got back together a couple of years back and have been gigging frequently since. They recorded an EP not long after getting back on track and now lineup with the talents of Ramaya Hany on trumpet and ex "Space Weevil" Tom Houseman on bass. Recently, SOU were delighted when offered to record for TNS Records, who will release a split CD featuring Sense of Urgency, A war Against Sound and Stand out Riot in September. The band are also currently sorting out European shows with Bolton punks "The Emos" and Tom's other band "Rising Strike"
