From the hell-ridden depths of the Isle of Wight, we present to you…
SENTENCED TO REBIRTH
What at the time could only be described as a one-off studio based recording project ‘gone wrong’, eventually resulted in the birth of the first N.W.O.I.O.W.H.M (New Wave Of Isle Of Wight Heavy Metal) band; SENTENCED TO REBIRTH, who finally emerged as a full band in August 2005.
Taking full advantage of the wondrous invention known as ‘the internet’ and a website in particular called ‘Myspace’ (http://www.myspace.com), SENTENCED TO REBIRTH managed to gain well over 1500 listens and nearly 800 downloads before the final line-up of the band was even complete.
A local, national and worldwide interest was quickly becoming apparent.
Described as having the ‘groove rhythms’ of Pantera, with cutting guitar riffs and pounding double kick drum patterns, SENTENCED TO REBIRTH create an aural blitzkrieg which has quickly gained the band a strong and dedicated following.
Having self-recorded, produced and mixed their debut album ‘SILENT PAIN’ (which was released in late June 2006) and having received praise from professional musicians such as Daniel Weller (Sikth) and Lord Zion (Spit Like This), SENTENCED TO REBIRTH are currently finalising writing for the forthcoming untitled album, set to be released in May 2007.
Now a few more months down the line, the band have written a tasty 13 brand new tracks, readying for their follow up release, due June 2007.
