Separation was created with the hopes of separating our ideas from the rest of the norm. A break from what is anticipated and expected. The 5 member group originally created in 2004, then reformed in January of 2005 with a new lineup, and recorded the disc "Focus your energy". Separation played many shows with the lineup including opening acts with Byzantine and others. The current lineup, which has again changed since 2005, has the band moving in a little different direction but the creativity is still what keeps us together and moving forward. Separation has combined the diverse musical styles of each member to create music that is explosive, brutal and heavy but also emotionally moving. Heavy pounding guitar driven riffs enhanced by brutal vocals, aggressive bass lines and a full frontal percussive attack all kept in check with a melodic keyboard, ambient colorings and harmonic vocal breaks.

We are currently playing around the region and continually working on new material for our third release hopefully due out mid 2009.
