My brother Travis, a United States Marine as of 7/11/08. And other people full of love (the unconditional tough kind that lasts through all obstacles) and/or personal sacrifice.
About me: "Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem." - Ronald Reagan. My brother Travis is a United States Marine going into the infantry. OOH-RAH!!!! I am proud to be his sister.

I'm so happy to hear you had so much fun. I'm sad that B got moved from California because that means I don't have an excuse to go out there anymore! :( But I've never been to D.C. either so I am excited to visit there in January. He seems to really like it. Just a lot of training right now to find out what job he will be doing while he's there. Stacy is flying out there in a couple of weeks for the ball... should be great seeing as how the most important person in the Corps (the Commandant) will be there. It is his own birthday ball evidently. Is Heather not going to ball with Travis out there? Anyways, glad to hear everything went well and that you got back safe. Can't wait to see pictures!
He finishes this Friday and heads out immediately after graduation that morning for Washington D.C. where he will be on assignment there for 2 years. Don't know what his duties will be yet but hopefully find out soon after he gets there. It's an Elite group and an honor to have this assignment so we're very excited for him.
No I had not heard anything yet. It's a long story but in short Brandon needed his uniforms by today or tomorrow and it was going to cost as much to ship them, so mom is flying out there right now. She will be there until Saturday so maybe she can see Trav and talk to him a little bit. So sorry to hear that. Did they say why he has to wait? Is he just going to do more rehab until then??
hey...did you run your marathon yet? I can't remember when you said the date is...mine is in 25 days, yikes! I ran my first 20 mile run last saturday - that was interesting. :)
Hey, Christie! I know I haven't talked to you in forever. I am doing good. Live in a house still in Austin, with a cat , and my guinea pigs. Work for a bariatric physician as his dietitian and still try to run. How are you? What are you doing?
