About September Malevolence

September Malevolence made their first rehearsal in February 2004. Six months later we had nine songs that we really liked. And some we didn't. Over the course of two weeks we put nine of them to tape and eight of them became our debut album called "Tomorrow we'll wonder where this generation gets its priorities from". The Silent Ballet (.com) thought the album was worth the nr 4 spot on their list of the 50 best instrumental albums of 2005. Actually almost everyone seemed to think we'd done a great album. A part from a reviewer in Belgium, he hated it.

Several tours all over Europe and several band members later we began work on our second album entitled "After this darkness, there's a next" in October 2007. Writing the material was a struggle, but recording it was fun and in the end the album shows a new side of us and we left many post-rock elements behind, which was what we set out to do. Why make the same album twice you know? It got kinda rave reviews actually (we are humbled), so we must have been doing something right. But we're pretty sure someone hated it.

Right now (fall 2009) we are working on album nr 3. Everybody is in for a surprise, including us.
