Sepultuba aka Line Horntveth is a Norwegian musician and writer of sometimes cunning stories. She lives in Skreia, on the Norwegian countryside, and is a member of the slightly more famous Jaga Jazzist, Marit Larsen Band and Jarle Bernhoft Band. She has played tuba for almost twenty years and has of late started to experiment with other instruments and vocals. She has played and plays horns, percussion and has done backgroundvocals for other Norwegian artists such as Hanne Hukkelberg, Odd Nordstoga, Motorpsycho, The Cato Salsa Experience, Big Bang, Dum Dum Boys, The Lionheart Brothers, Home Groan, HGH, The Apricot, The Margarets and Stella Polaris both live and on albums.
A new duoproject, "Budding Rose", is in the making with long-time friend and composer/musician Terje Johannesen. The lyrics are written by the ever so mysterious Emily Brontë, and the music is by Johannesen. Line is singing and playing and comes with all sorts of good or bad suggestions concerning the music. In April 2009 we did a few exlusive shows with a bigger band including horns and strings. The songs above are recorded on these shows.
We..ll try to record an album in December 2009.
Hei du! Det var jo typisk at samme helg som du og terje endelig rasler med sablene er jeg opptatt med jobb selv. Det låter umiskjennelig skikkelig fint og håper dere får stinne brakker:-)
What an honour you were at my show! If I had known, I would 've spoken english :) It was great, the strings were fantastic! I'm a big fan of Hanne, I saw her in the same Paradiso last year and it was the best concert I've seen that year. She's very special.
