The 4th annual 2008 festival will be Sunday, August 17th, 2008 from 2pm - 8pm in the West Hollywood Park which is located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard.
Now entering its 4th year, the Serafemme Queer Women of Color Music Festival is a groundbreaking 6-hour long outdoor festival showcasing 17 artists of various genres including hip-hop, r&b, acoustic, soul, funk & spoken word in addition to arts, crafts and food vendors. Past sponsors have included: the City of West Hollywood (returning in 2007), Christopher Street West (pending), GLAAD (pending) and the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives (returning). Serafemme 2007 more than doubled its inaugural audience and yielded over 500 women in attendance. The festival garnered media exposure in Tomboyz Quarterly, dot Magazine and LN Magazine. This year, the festival is being considered for network broadcast.
November 8th will mark the first annual Holiday Hotness Bazaar. We will feature 60 of L.A.’s hottest independent designers, with products ranging from Jewelry to Apparel. The Bazaar will appeal to progressive, edgy do-it-yourself designers and patrons…Readers of Domino, Lucky, InStyle and the likes who approach shopping with a creative conscience. This is a unique opportunity for your brand to increase awareness among our audience!

I was thinking more along the lines that the profits would go towards the event. I live across the country and unfornately I don't make oodles of money to travel the distance. however I would be willing to purchase a copy for like fifty. I do understand with attendance it's a very powerful inspirational event and I would like to be apart of it however I do not foresee.
Well that'll be something I will have to consider...ever thought about recording it and mailing copies to your friends? Like the receiver pay for the postage and handling possibly a small fee for the sender? I'm sure people would really enjoy that :)
Featuring Premiere of the final cut of the Little Red Pictures' Camrin Pitts directed music video for "I've Got You" from Melange's critically acclaimed release, THE MOVEMENT. She will also perform a number of tracks.
In addition, guest performers doing a song or two will include Deadlee, Foxxjazell, Salvimex, MC Flow, Prince Cat-eyez, Julie Potter (JFP), and the debut of Last Offence.
All of this, for only $5!. That is an incredible bargain for this caliber of entertaiment!
The show will start promptly at 9 PM and be over by 11:30! The event takes place at MJ's Bar in Silverlake, and is a 21 and over show.
