Company Profile

Seraphim Pictures is an independent production partnership based in South Wales, UK that creates documentaries and short films alongside corporate movie promotions. Combining the partners' experience of film production and acting with marketing and new media expertise, we deliver content that it is individual and innovative, economic and effective.

We're a hybrid production company, mixing corporate and creative projects and maintaining the same production values for all our customers. Our creative services include documentaries, short films and music videos filmed in High Definition. Having been accredited by the 59th Cannes Film Festival for our first short film The Things Unsaid in 2006 we feel confident in providing high quality creative work with its own individual flavour and a fresh perspective on the subject matter.

Our documentaries tend to focus on entertainment and the arts. Behind-the-scenes and fly-on-the-wall style programmes are a favourite - we like getting into the meat of a story and focusing on content that might otherwise go unnoticed. For 2008 we're looking to shift focus towards the entertainment genre with some light and individual docu-soaps. There are some ambitious plans to produce work in Los Angeles, but we're also developing some home-grown observational documentaries.

Previous Creative Work

I Found Love (2008) - a music video for up-and-coming R&B artist Lankai

The Things Unsaid (2006) - a short, reality-TV-style, 'mockumentary' film that featured at The Short Film Corner of the Marche du Film at Cannes 2006.

Through the Rain (2006) - a privately-distributed behind-the-scenes-documentary following Bridgend County Youth Theatre's production of "Singing in the Rain".

It's My Shout (2005) - a three-part behind-the-scenes documentary mini-series for ITV Wales, featuring the voice-over talents of Rob Brydon, Owen Teale, and Lauren Phillips.

Behind the Line (2005) - a privately-distributed behind-the-scenes-documentary of the Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre Production of "A Chorus Line".

Future Projects

We're currently developing "Little Dylan" - a documentary about the early life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. The programme aims to identify the early influences on his later works: the people, the places, the experiences of his life in Swansea, South Wales. We'll be covering everything from his birth to the publishing of "And Death Shall Have No Dominion" which launched his career at age 19.

Principal photography commences at the end of August, featuring interviews with writer Sharman Macdonald and Producer Rebekah Gilbertson of the new Dylan Thomas Film "The Edge of Love." Some of the documentary will be filmed at Dylan's birthplace and childhood home at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, Swansea and we've been lucky enough to gain access to some materials from his membership of Swansea Little Theatre.

Elsewhere some of our other pitches are being considered on both sides of the Atlantic, with some interest from SkyArts over here and Doc - The Documentary Channel in the States. It looks as if we're staying within the documentary genre for the time being!

Corporate Services

In July 2006 we diversified into producing corporate movies, with the aim of providing a low budget, high quality movie production service to companies that have traditionally been priced-out of the corporate movie market. Our production services for SME's provide the same professional ethos, production values, talent, and state-of-the-art equipment that is establishing us among the international film community.

Our clients range from startups and SME's to larger media companies and broadcasting corporations, with all companies enjoying the same level of service. We offer flexible audio-visual production solutions for both online and offline marketing, viral campaigns and new media marketing.

Our corporate services range from straightforward promotional movies to short clips for viral marketing. All of our products are intended to help companies access new, potentially lucrative markets. Unlike other companies we work with our clients to produce what they want from their promotional movies. At the end of the day, who is better to tell the story of a company than the people who run it?

Past corporate clients have included:

BHBi Consultancy Ltd
Marketsafe UK
Jelvis Rocks Promotions
Who I'd like to meet:
Other film and television production companies
Companies looking to embrace New Media as a route to market
Producers, directors, writers, actors and musicians
Companies and individuals who have their own podcast, or listen to one regularly

we want to send out a press pack to promoters and record lablels with 3 songs on. the problem we have is as a band we cant decide which 3 to put on the cd. i think it should be the 4 songs we have on our myspace put we decided that we should let our friends tell us which songs they think are our best. remember we cant put "chalet girls" or "fuck off" on there because of the swearing.which songs do you think would give the best chance of being signed? whats your blims top 3?
