A Future Expired Mini E.P. 2008 (Online Release Only)
Seregon are a focused, hardworking and dedicated unsigned Thrash Metal band from Bristol in the UK.
Founded by James Moore and Alex Hagues, they recruited long time friend Ben Allen on Bass and Drummer Andy Page. Seregon burst onto the live scene and played all over the UK throughout 2005 and 2006. The band went from strength to strength and 2007 saw the release of the self financed EP ‘Kingdom of the Blind’. Receiving rave reviews from fans and press alike, Terrorizer fans voted them the ‘2nd Best Unsigned Band’ as part of the ‘Fear Candy’ Unsigned series in July 2007 and were handpicked as support to Thrasher’s Evile and UK Thrash Legends Onslaught at their ‘Killing Peace’ Release show, the year was then rounded off with a UK Tour, a slot at the UK’s Full Thrash Assault Festival as main support to Gama Bomb and Evile and were voted the ‘5th Best Unsigned Band’ of 2007’ by readers of Terrorizer.
February 2008 would see the online release exclusive of the 2 track sampler ‘A Future Expired’, this paved the way for more success. It left the metal press wanting more and landed high profile support slots with Evile, Gama Bomb and Municipal Waste to name a few and again saw them reach the Top 10 and voted the ‘6th Best Unsigned Band’ of 2008 by readers of Terrorizer.
In January 2009 the ba/nd was picked to open up the prestigious Inferno Festival in Oslo, Norway. This saw them play with bands such as Pestilence, Dew Scented and Paradise Lost. Doors were now opening all over Europe and the band played at the Suburbia Club in Bucharest, Romania and a slot at Portugal’s Ilha Do Ermal Festival alongside Obituary, Firewind and Sepultura.
Zero Tolerance dubbed the band as "The heaviest and most intense band on the UK Thrash scene", while Terrorizer exclaimed "Everything about this band screams, ‘Give us a Record Deal!". While other positive reviews from press such as Metal Hammer, Big Cheese, and Kerrang! have flooded in, the band has been hard at work recording and rehearsing new material.
Seregon's next LP, "Disposable Suffering", is due out in October 2009 and was produced by Chuck Creese (Trigger the Bloodshed, Onslaught) in Bristol, August 2009.
