Sounds Like
I have no idea what I sound like. I think I have a unique sound. I actually never intended to rap, but when I wrote "The Clock" I just wanted to say so much. You can't really do that in a traditional folk or rock song, rap was the best medium for it. I'm definitely no rapper or a hip hop artist, at least in the traditional sense. I'm more folk, rock, and pop than I am a rapper. I wanted to blend elements of each into my music and I think I did that in "The Clock". However, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my art and it is still not up to my liking. I will probably rewrite, and reproduce every song I've written. That's just the way I am.
SEREIrath is a sinner in need of repentance found only in the merciful, loving and gracious powerful work of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is not just another "nice" guy, or "great teacher", He is the Son of God, God in human flesh, the ONLY way to heaven. We are all sinners and from this mere fact, we are disqualified from heaven. Not just that, we deserve to die because of our sins, even the smallest lie. God is perfect, and the mere imperfection of our flesh disgusts God, but God provided a way for us. Instead of us dying for our sins, Jesus died for us instead. And not only that, Jesus rose from death, giving us life. This is the good news, the Gospel! We deserve to die, but we didn't have to, Jesus died for us instead and rose back to life so that we may have life. And because of this Good News, I dedicate my life to follow, obey, worship, and glorify the only Almighty God.
I learned the guitar in the summer of 2002 and I have been writing music since then. All I want to do with my music is to glorify my creator, YHWH (Yahweh aka Jehovah aka the LORD aka God aka the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) and have fun doing it. Music has given me much joy and has opened many doors for me. The only thing that has had a greater impact on my life than music is God. I thank God for allowing me to express myself in musical ways.
Don't feel weird about all the advice, it's truly valid and I appreciate itl :-)
Yeah, we constantly pray together and encourage each other. And trust me, if he doesn't treat me right, you and about a ton of other guys in my family and amongst my friends will be there ready to tear him apart, lol. But I don't see that happening, he's pretty awesome.
It's funny cuz Lance was going over 2 Corinthians 10 last week and how Paul was saying we should boast in the Lord, and he gave this cool phrase, "we suck, God is awesome". Which I totally thought of when you said you are undeserving of being called a great man of God. We are all undeserving because we all suck, therefore we need to depend on God because He's awesome!
Well it's been great talking with you Serei, I hope to see you soon sometime, maybe playing some worship???? :-) Those were fun times...
ok cool, i just wanted to make sure you were still getting spiritually fed, because i think you are a great man of God :-) things with me are good, with work and school and all. gonna be graduating in May so big changes ahead, meaning extra prayers! i'm attending the wednesday group at the Bacons, it's cool. Anchor's still growing and we are starting with the mission class to form members of the church. we had a couple weekend meetings at the Leflers, going over the church's mission and stuff, so it's exciting times! also i'm dating someone now. i'm not sure if you met him or not, his name is Dave and he's been going to Anchor since december. it's almost 3 months for us and i'm soooo happy! i was just looking at my blog a few months ago when i talked about everyone being in love, and the awesome advise you gave, and look what it got me! :-)
i pray that God will continue to use you, and have an amazing rest of the week!
