I love everything .... and I'm just learning how to have fun! It's taken me a long time to find that out.
I'm faking adventurous .... until I make it .. *smile*
sshhhhhh don't tell anyone. Ohh ok so probably everyone
already knows I'm not as brave as I wish I was.
I have so many beautiful things I like to do, I can't find the time to fit them all in. I love life, there are so so many things I haven't done yet I want to try like falling in love with someone who loves me right back.
For me the answers are always spiritual....rather than simply practical. It has lead me to a better version of myself and a whole new life.
I love walking on the beach and in the rain, taking photos, going to the movies, listening to music, watching sunrises, sunsets and people. Spending time with my gorgeous children, belly dancing and whatever else takes my fancy.
Going to markets, junk shops and long long drives ....collecting little momentos from all around the place, shopping and travelling. I read almost anything and everything, usually several things at once.
I really enjoy making my new home pretty and welcoming, I also love to have a colourful garden and lots of flowers in pots, I have masses on my little verandah now! I'm so blessed with lots and lots of pink flowers around me. And my youngest son who mows the lawns!
I'm starting to scrapbook,
as a way to put some of my memories,
and some of the many photos I've taken,
into a good place.
So that I can look back and smile,
or cry and feel at ease with that.
It's another nice way to be creative.
I work way too hard as a counsellor.
I love to laugh. I'm a girly kind of girl. I'm very very passionate, romantic, sentimental ...kooky, chaotic, full on, dramatic, emotional and spiritual.
I have decided very very recently,
I need only be myself
And see what that brings me. (smile)
I have a dear sweet male friend...
who says
he's never seen anyone wish for things ..
like I do ...
and then they arrrive (smile).
Which is why I have to be so careful...
what I wish for ...
Only God knows what I crave right now.
Friends have often held me up and given me a million laughs I've also been I suppose a leader ..in my life So I started up a group ...of friends ..
I also moderate Recovery friends without harm... Kind of a spin off of some wilder groups I have at times been a member of ...so I made my own gentler version ...have a look ..
Ohhh and I'm on Facebook as well.....because my kids are!
And ......after years of wild long red hair I've gone blonde ...
Guess what? It's true .....it is!!!!!!!! ..... ;
Music
Music feeds my soul. My heart beats to it's rhythm.
I adore music of all kinds. I often get really obsessed with a CD or a song and play it over and over.
Anything from the 70's, the 80's and everything up to now.
I could give up almost anything but not music.
I can't list all my favourites because it's endless ...
I started with The Beatles and .....
my first single was Can't Buy Me Love/You Can't Do That..
I'm still excited by those songs.
I love live music ...I'm beginning to follow what I love to do ...with everything. ....
and my desire for music, for passion for melody in my veins ...
..has never stopped ...
Movies
One of my favourite escapes is going to the movies. I enjoy romantic comedies, but I also like a good action movies as well.
Favourites - Shrek, Sleepless in Seattle, The Matrix, Serendipity, K-Pax, Signs, Along Came Polly, Star Wars, Bruce Almighty, The Banger Sisters, Groundhog Day, Diary of Bridget Jones, Field of Dreams...to name a few. I recently saw Deja Vu and loved it.
I do enjoy relaxing and watching some tv after a long very long and hectic work day. Although sometimes I'm lost in thought and miss the whole thing.
I have enjoyed House and Greys Anatomy this year, I also like travel programs. I'm a huge SBS fan, my son-in-law is a film editor for the network. My son and I watch an hour or so together most evenings.
Old ones I've enjoyed are of course M*A*S*H, Seinfeld, Northern Exposure, A Country Practice..
.. and I'm a closet Australian Idol watcher shhhh don't tell! I never miss it!!
And So You Think You Can Dance is wonderful as well.
Love books, love words, love poetry, love romance, love to escape with a cup of tea and a good book.
Heroes
Mother Theresa ...Ghandi, Katherine Hepburn. Bill W. and Dr. Bob. Nelson Mandela. Anyone big or small.... brave enough to be true to themselves.
There is a source of divine guidance that exists within you and it will help you to fulfill every heart's desire of your being. Your soul can speak to and through you, giving voice to the aspirations of your heart. Listen there. You can find it!
I ALWAYS fall for heroic men in movies! Like Bruce Willis in Die Anything ...or Harrison Ford....
My youngest son Jacob is a hero in my life, he never judges me and always gives.
Who I'd like to meet: I leave the next man to enter my heart up to God and the Universe.
We have days when we experience the small
coincidences in life -- our car breaks down and
we run into an old friend at the service station;
we're thinking about someone and she calls just
because we've been on her mind; we ask ourselves
a question and the answer appears on the side of a
bus or out of the mouth of a stranger at the bus stop.
These serendipitous events usually leave us with at
least a bit of awe.
The more serendipity we have in our life, the
more spiritually connected we are. We're turned in,
attentive, aware, and detached. We're getting
responses to questions and meeting the people
we need to be with at just the right moments. We
couldn't have planned it better. We couldn't have
planned it at all.
Serendipity is a sign that we're letting the
universe organize the events that lead to
answered questions and fulfilled dreams.
Life becomes a process of unraveling a mystery.
Sometimes I follow my own advice
...and I trust serendipity
and live outside my comfort zone
...and sometimes I'm far far too afraid ....
Oh and I try so so so hard to live in the moment you know?
That was then and this is now kind of thinking ....
Never do know who God is going to send next.
I have learnt to simply have my own good time.
I am never never going to wait for anybody ever again.
