Tameka Thomas, Kira Allison, Briana Crowder and Jarina Kitchen
This dynamic group not only has a passion for the gospel but know the importance of having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth” Romans 1:16. We feel that in order to spread the gospel it is important to live the life that we sing about.
These women have been singing since grade school and were raised together. Many say that you can hear the longevity of their singing through their harmony. The Lord has blessed this group over the years and is continuing to open many doors. The bible says,
“I will open up the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” Malachi 3:10
The group has been blessed to share the stage with many national recording artists such as: Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Israel and New Breed, Michael McDonald, Donald Lawrence, Hezekiah Walker, John P. Kee, Deitrick Haddon, LaShun Pace, and Rance Allen.
In addition, these ladies are no strangers to the camera. They have appeared on weekly telecasts like the Moment of Truth, Celebrate Jesus, Spiritual Awakening and many more that have touched thousands of souls. Serenity also had the privilege of being the special guests on the Bobby Jones Showcase (Word Network) as well as the Inspirational Network (INSP) which airs across millions of homes around the world.
The group recently embarked upon a new phase of their career in which they had the opportunity to appear in a film called “Praise Band.” This film will be released in 2008, and will not only showcase Serenity’s singing talents but their acting as well.
Serenity completed a demo that is produced by Benjamin Thomas and Ricko Hill and have sold over 1,000 copies independently. The cd consist of the upbeat “Get Up” which speaks of proclaiming the name of Jesus and being grateful for the wonderful things God continues do in their lives. (“Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised” Psalms 145:3) “Everything” written by Ricko, exemplifies God’s undying love toward us. No matter how many times we step out of line, God is there to pick us up. “Kept” is one of those heart-felt, laid back songs that you can nod your head to. This particular song talks about how the devil will try to trick you but just in the nick of time the Lord will step in and fight your battle. (“But with us is the Lord our God to help us fight our battles” 2 Chronicles 32:8) This demo, will keep you in anticipation! Not only will you hear fun and catchy beats but also heart realm worship like “My King.”
This fantastic and incredible quartet is excited about God’s favor upon their lives and they are waiting in a spirit of expectation because they know, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

Their goal is to help raise money for HBCUs, they will donate $1 for every student or alumni who sign up for a free membership with their school's network this month(March)at blackcollegelivenetwork. com. As more people join The Black College Live Network, they will be presented with many more ways to raise money. Please pass the word to your fellow college friends. MySpace is a great site, but we need to join networks that are helping keep our HBCUs' doors open. Spread the word.
New week with new obstacles and new victories. Have a good one and get to know Him. Ro 8:2 -A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.
I posted a new song on my blog in demo form that we will be recording at my live session in April. I'd love for you to listen to it and tell me what you think. It's RAW... so don't laugh. But, I'm giving it to my fans so they can watch the production process unfold and see how different it's going to sound when we track it.
