Epiphone guitar signed by all four original members of ASIA was for sale on ebay and all proceeds from the sale were donated to Serenity House Hospice of Doylestown Pennsylvania. ASIA has also donated a song to the Serenity House Compilation CD to benefit the hospice.
Doylestown, Pennsylvania is a beautiful historic town. It lies in bucolic Bucks County, which prides itself with cultivating the geniuses of James Michener, Oscar Hammerstein, Margaret Mead and Pearl Buck.
Within this peaceful village setting, where the quality of life and spirit are nurtured and explored, Serenity House and Hospice Support will complete the circle of care available to the community.
Serenity House and Hospice Support of Doylestown, Inc is a volunteer organization providing physical, emotional and spiritual support without cost, to those incurably ill members of our community and to nurture those who love them. Within a free standing residence or within someone's home, our highly trained compassionate volunteers provide non-medical care to those at the end of life. Bereavement counseling and financial services are also available.
Hearing is the last sense to diminish when someone is at the end of life. Listening to music from one's lifetime brings great comfort and joy-not only to the patient but the caregivers as well. This CD you are enjoying has been an act of love and passion. The generosity of these artists proves that where there is great love, there are always miracles. I thank all of the people involved in this gift of love to our community.
-Nina McKissock, RN
Serenity….the word implies calmness. Composure. Tranquility. A mother softly stroking her child’s fevered brow while whispering words of love and encouragement. A man sitting by his wife’s bedside holding her weathered hand as he quietly recounts the story of their first anniversary many years ago.
Hospice….one definition is “a rest house for travelers. A house of shelter and rest for pilgrims.” What a lovely destination even if it wasn’t on the original route.
The Serenity House and Hospice Support of Doylestown gives a peaceful sanctuary to weary life travelers and their caregivers. It is a place where life stories can be shared; a place where joy and sadness intertwine; a place where dignity is preserved.
The music on this CD was donated by the artists as their way of being a part of the story. All of these musicians have provided their own brand of shelter in this wonderful collection of songs: some gentle and introspective, some rousing and vigorous, all intending to tend to the human spirit.

Life is all about giving, one very important thing my Mother and Father taught me.
I was approached by Kevin Mackie, a musician like myself whose 'brainchild' this is, outlining the CD and what he would like from me, the timing was perfect.
I said absolutely!
The project has become very special to me, the Serenity House will be in Doylestown, Bucks County where I live, and I thought what a great opportunity to contribute to the community.
I also offered to do a painting for the CD cover, it is called 'Serenity House' (of course) and is a mixture of my expressionistic side with a touch of realism, being the house itself!
I am very excited about and confident the CD will do well.
I am honored to be involved along with some great names in the music business and some excellent up and coming local talent who have also donated their time and music.
