Serge Spira IV is a Finnish rock group of three persons who take their music -but not themselves- seriously. Couple of gigs defined catchy and noisy pop punk which haphazardly bursts out to violent avant garde improvisation as their trade mark. Serge Spira IV's musical tone is based on traditional guitar band sound with old-style equiment, like tube amps, but they are always on quest for new forms of expression. Even jazz is not far away from their performances.
Serge Spira IV does not always manage to achieve their goals, but sometimes it makes miracles. The Finnish lyrics (translations are not available yet) are intepreted by songwriter Jaan Kallio himself, and his personal way to sing stories between dream and reality makes Serge Spira IV an exciting and empowering experience.
Altogether, Serge Spira IV is also an entertaining and straight-forward rock group that has energy to roll just two chords, if necessary. Their release policy has altered from underground mp3 flooding to more official ways to reach audiences.
