I've been at KALX since '97!! I LOVE KALX!...more than 10 years? Shit I feel old! I've also just started a show on West Add Radio in June 2008!
In the past few years my ‘musical vision’ has crystallized into wanting to present the wide spectrum of dance music - disco,
house, funk, jazz, hip hop - in particular preserving & paying respect to the vibe of The Loft and Paradise Garage, with
inspiration from legendary Chicago DJ & producer Derrick Carter’s style.
In 2005, I was chosen as the New Times (SF Weekly/East Bay Express) “DJ Breakthrough” and was flown to play at the Ultra
Music Festival in Miami during the Winter Music Conference. This year, I was voted as "Best DJ" by the readers of the SF
Weekly!
In the Bay Area, I’ve played at Kingman’s Lucky Lounge, The Ruby Room, Radio, Bar Kitty's, The Ivy Room and Bar Kitty's in the East Bay. In San Francisco, I’ve played at Pink, Dalva (at Toph One’s legendary “Red Wine Social”), Lime, Otis, Arrow, Club Six, The MakeOut Room, Cherry, Vertigo, Fluid, Bambuddha Lounge, Mighty, Elbo Room, Mars Bar, Little Baobab, The Transfer and held residencies for almost a year each at Maroc in the lower Haight, Bar Kitty's in Emeryville and at EZ5 in the Financial/Chinatown area.
sooo I got released again for tomorrow! I haven't worked in a week haha it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it! so drink some 'tussin so we can hang out! I'm so bored :(
