Sounds Like
"Zakk wylde shagging Angela Gossow!" There's a new one curtesy of Dan Jackson
Malefice "sounds heavy as shit dude!"
Lock and Load obvservers"screaming guitar, insane drums, bass from Hollow?? and a scary frontman..although I think he is one of the most competent singers in the comp so far."
"...a cross between White Zombie and Black Label Society."
Any more thoughts on what we sound like please tell us.
With their roots deeply in old-school thrash, Serillian have a great many influences ranging from the likes of Metallica, Pantera and Slayer, to more modern bands such as Black Label Society, Devildriver and Arch Enemy.
Serillian aim to give people something few metal bands do. That's fast, heavy music with discernable riffs, technical solos, and non Tinkerbell vocals. And regardless of the situation, Serillian will always deliver a tight, high energy performance for which you can mosh, head bang, or simply drink your beer to.
So crank your amps up to 11, show those metal horns, and get ready to rock!
"Took energy levels to another level... with a bus worth of fans in the crowd and everyone else gripped by thier performance, Serillian definitely set the standard on the Saturday."
"As far as muscianship is concerned, even though Serillian conform to a lot of heavy metal cliches, my god they were awesome last night... they play their style of music far better than many of today's professional bands..."
"There's no question that Serillian are on the up, it just remains to see how high they go." Quote from a review in the Lock and Load competition. To read more visit www.lockandload.org.uk.
Formed in August 2005 by the Jackson brothers, Dan and Simon along with long term friend Adam Rhodes to get together a band that played the music they wanted to hear. Saxon Clements stepped in to fill the low end so that things could get moving.
With two years playing under their belts and a first place in Great Yarmouth's Lock and Load Battle of the Bands, it was agreed that an additional guitarist would really open up the possibilities. This is demonstrated clearly on 'Cybercide', the first song to feature Tim Frost whom we chose to add the extra riffing and harmonies.
The most recent change came about when Adam decided this wasn't the life he wanted to lead, so up stepped Scotty K, ex Heaven Denies to front the band, and thanks to his love for 'Ripper Owens' vocal style, gives us a slightly different character.
