About Serita "Versityle" Campbell

Serita Ward was born March 15th, 1977 in Morehead City, North Carolina and began singing shortly after. By age seven Serita was singing in front of churches but still could not imagine what God had in store but knew that music was going to play apart in it! By her early adolescence she began learning to play many of the instruments found in her church including the trumpet.

It was in 1993 that Serita lost her mother and in the midst of her pain found peace by pouring out her heart in the form of writing and only a year later she gave her heart to the Lord. With only a keyboard and a karaoke machine she recorded her songs and began to let God use her by speaking His word though music.

At age twenty one Serita moved to Milwaukee where she met and married her husband, Elder Rodney E. Campbell, thus becoming Serita Campbell! Shortly thereafter she constructed a recording studio and dubbed it Gods Gift Gospel Studio (3G) were her first four albums were born.

Later that same year she took the Latin Music industry by storm and preformed with numerous artists including LiL’ Pito who she also accompanied in two music videos! Serita has just released a new album entitled “The Realness: and was earlier this year presented the “Female Vocalist of the Year Award” at the 2008 Anointed Pages Magazine, Gospel Awards Ceremony. The unique delivery and anointed versatility of Serita Campbell’s work has touched many lives and blessed many souls. God is continuing to bless Serita, and present new avenues in ministry. Her husband, Rodney Campbell, is the pastor of Crossing Jordan Ministries where Serita is standing by him as First Lady. With so much going on and the blessings pouring out Serita may not get a chance to respond to each message received but know she loves and appreciates all of you!
