Claude started his musical career as singer in a band called "Schweinepest" -a wave/electronic punk project that after a couple of performances split up in 2003. From then on Claude started working on his own tunes, recording with rather basic equipement, but he also invested in new hard and software to be able to diversify his sounds and ideas. In December of 2004 Claude released his first CD called "Smoke over Ground" using first the name DJ Sermeq. Eight tracks, mostly instrumental, and with heavy '80's influences were on this CD which was mastered by Sam Wirtz, best known for his tremendous work with "Low Density Corporation". Other tracks by Sermeq were published on compilations. During the early months of 2005 Claude decided to present his work to a live public. He got support from Aender Wagner, guitarist of the band Sonic Attack, and Anna Geisen. Anna played keyboards and effects. The newly formated trio droped the DJ using Sermeq as band name, they played a variety of shows during 2005. 2006 started with changes for Sermeq, Aender announced his departure from the band for personal reasons, leaving Claude and Anna without guitar. Tho he agreed helping to record the Demo CD "Messages", Marc Unsen was asked to join and also contributed his part to the finishing of Messages, released on June 15th 2006. The release concert at the Club stage of the Rockhal, in front of few visitors only, also marked the last change in the lineup of Sermeq as Anna just days before announced her wish to have a baby-break. All of a sudden reduced to Duo, Claude and Marc invited some guest musicians to help them with the task and Arlette M. on Saxophone, and "Unki" on Didgeridoo joined in for the occasion. November brought another highlight for the band, been guests on TTelevision in the best known show "Inside Music", on air Saturday 11th at 7.30 PM. During the interview the band promised a new release soon. Also for the first time the clip "Black Coast Walk" was shown, which has been realised by the VJ Melting Pol. Sermeq continued with more live sets, audio and visual work, and collaborations with other musicians and artists. In 2008, Sermeq released the new album "Quotations", which was promoted at various occasions. Some interesting new projects are planned, and a new release should be ready by the end of 2010. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

The track "Precarious" was recorded with female (metal) singer Noémie Leer, and shows another dimension of the sermeq-sound. The 4th album, "Nautilus", came out in early 2011. It features guests like cellist Lisa Berg and singer Helena Dyboek of Plankton Waves.
