Serpico existed in way too many line-ups, initially as a bunch of dorky 2nd generation emo-core kids from Staten Island, NY in 1991, through to an embarrassing end in 1998 in Europe. We admit we've rivalled Spinal Tap in the number of members who have contributed.
Starting out as Sleeper (91 thru 93) and musically determined to be a collision of the late 80's Dischord Records sound vs. the pop/punk of Descendents vs. the California dissonance
of Jawbreaker, we ventured to play to whatever places would have us.
A few singles, tours, steps up to Lps on Excursion and Equal Vision records got us a little recognition.
Not selling enough records and getting tired of touring pushed us into different directions of interest and the U.S.
But solid friendships through the years has made it all worth the time and energy we put into this band and each other. Even if it took us time to realize that. On Jan 17th, 2009, the band reunited for a 1 night, sold out show at Martini Red in Staten Island.
We're thankful for all of the fun times and the people who have lent an ear or supported us locally in Staten Island, throughout the U.S. and in Europe.

We had such a great relationship! Thank you John Lisa for everything you did for The Joint! You were and always will be an inspiration on how to do it yourself!
Hey guys. I'm from Staten Island, but now live in Richmond, VA. I love the shit out of you guys and i was wondering if there was any way i could buy Feel bad rainbow and Rumble at an online store or something. Awesome show on Yak! I'm sad I missed the reuniun :(
John Lisa thanks so much for the awesome show last night! Had to make it out from NJ to see one of the BEST bands of all time!!! JT's and your vocals were right on and the band was tighter than tight. Brought me back to the early '90's. No encore, wah...Please say yes to more shows! Thanks for the memories :]
