Sertac Kaya started his professional dj carrier in 1989 at
Ankara Airport Club, where he received considerable help
from Ugur Gundogan during advancement of his carrier.
He set up his own radio station Mix 103.4 Fm in 1995.
After operating Mix Fm for 1.5 years, he went to complete
his military service. As soon as his military service was over
he set up his own production company "Mix Production" in
1998. Mix Production successfully planned and organized
several events and also provided dj management, cd-vinyl
sales and dj courses. The most popular of these events
was 'First Experience 001' in 2001, which was attended
by 2600 people. This was the first factory party in Ankara,
the capital of Turkey. Towards the end of 2001 Sertac
began to make his first productions professionally as well
as being a dj. While making progressive house, progressive
trance and electro style music, Sertac meet with the 'Pangea
Recordings' label with help of the famous American trance
dj Gianni and his manager Nick. The track which he wrote for
his dead dog "Boncuk" was also the piece which introduced
Sertac Kaya to the world market. The world's best dj's
Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha and Paul Oakenfold supported
him by playing this piece at events they participated. Sertac
who also participated at numerous radio shows until now;
has performed to an audience over 1000 in his first radio
programme "Proton Radio Featured Artist" on the 17 March
2004. Sertac made several remixes with Jerry Bonham,
Snake Sedrick, Andrew K, Alex Stealthy, Chris
Conner, Evrydaydowners and numerous other productors.
He played at parties with the Djs like: John Digweed,
Flash Brothers, Steve Gerrard, Matthew Dekay, Madoka,
Andre Absolut, Sultan, Roel H, Michael De Hey, D-nox,
Petter, Snake Sedrick, Habersham, Christian Cambas,
Andy Smith, Ricky Stone, Darren Roach, Anthony Pappa,
Chris Salt, Criss Source, 16 Bit Lolitas, Pole Folder, V-Sag, Fitalic, Tommy Boy,
Todd Terry.. At the beginning of 2006 Sertac set up his
own label Kaya Records and has released some widely
played productions.
