I'm a little bit Country, I'm a little bit Rock and Roll. I will open your heart and expose your Soul. Make you cry and then Funk your hole. I know you are going to love me.
Seth Evans is a writer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist from Denver, Colorado by way of Chanhassen, Minnesota. His ability to play a variety of instruments - guitar, banjo, piano, voice - keeps him in demand for numerous bands in Colorado.
Seth's writing and singing speak to his time while gracefully standing outside of it. His songs vividly combine his funk and soul heritage from the Twin Cities music scene, South American instrumentation, and the song-writing craft and texture that have come from years of studying musical theory. He has created a distinct voice and sound that places him at the forefront of American performers.
His songs are those of an American sojourner that deftly draw from a multitude of genres, gently skating on thin boundaries so as you listen to his recordings you may find yourself hearing unfamiliar rhythms from Brazil, seeming to leave you separated from local environment. That is until his voice rises and you find yourself firmly planted in American roots.
