"The Workingist Drummer in NYC"-Spero of Northern State.
Seth began playing the drums at the ripe old age of nine. Drawing on diverse early diverse influences of Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren, and Earth Wind & Fire, Seth found a solid bedrock for a future of Funk and Groove. After 4 years away from music while attending St. Lawrence University in the frozen northern region of NY, Seth moved to Brooklyn and dove head first into his music. After 6 years of steady gigging and recording, and the tutalege of renowned drummer Adam Deitch (Johns Scofield, Wycleff Jean, Lauren Hill), Seth has evolved into a true New York City drummer who has a unique sound in any musical environment. These days Seth splits his time between freelance gigs, DJing, and session work with renowned producers Chuck Brody (Northern State, Wu-Tang Clan, American Princes) and Roger Greenawalt (The Pierces, Julian Velard, Ben Kweller) among others.
Cheers!
