   About Seth Osburn
Seth Osburn is a classically trained composer and pianist who incorporates a wide range of musical experience into his own unique hybrid. He has performed with bands as well as orchestras, in both clubs and concert halls. His experience also includes arranging, conducting, musical direction, and studio work. He is versatile in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, pop, rock, and world music. While his eclectic background inevitably informs his work, his primary goal as a solo artist is to remain passionately focused on new horizons. His performances reflect an intense duality—one moment calm, the next fierce and chaotic. His solo piano CD SEVEN (The Seven Stages of Alchemical Transformation) has been called everything from “melodious and transcendental” to “heavy-metal piano”, and “wacked out in a great way”. Now on the Astranova label, it was nominated as Best Solo Piano Album by the independent musician’s network Just Plain Folks, and was selected track of the week on Garageband.com. As a pianist, Seth has performed recitals, chamber music, and as a soloist with orchestra. In the theatre, he has national tour, Off-Broadway, and opera credits. He toured with a number of singers, including Michael Crawford and Shirley Bassey, performed on two Windham Hill Winter Solstice tours, and enjoys a long-time collaboration with 3-time Grammy nominee David Arkenstone. He recorded tracks for hip-hop projects at Dr. Dre’s Record One studios, and played piano on Wendy Waldman’s release of her pop hit Save the Best for Last. In addition to piano, his recording credits also include accordion, percussion, and vocals. He has also composed movie trailers, scored documentaries, and his music was used in the short film Everyday Things. He has performed in some of the nation’s top venues, including Radio City Music Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Hollywood Bowl.

Thanks, Seth, for being so complimentary concerning my video. When a non-musician leaves a positive comment, it's certainly nice. But when an accomplished pianist, such as yourself, is complimentary towards my music, it really means the world to me. Thanks for your encouragement!
Appreciative Regards,
~John

Seth,
Hope that you've had a good week. Mine was busy but great!
I'm finally starting to work with video. Here's a short version
of my tune, "New Horizons". Although the sound quality
needs some improvement, it does show me having fun!

Have a fabulous weekend,
~John

Thanks, Seth, for accepting my request. I've been a fan
of your music for a long time now. Of course, you have
plenty of great work as David Arkenstone's accompanist,
but your own creations are excellent. By the way, I remember
seeing you perform with David in 1999 at a Winter Solstice
show in Encinitas, CA. You definitely were putting your heart
and soul into that performance!

Kind Regards, ~John

When you have some free time, look for "Michael" in my top friends, he's an incredible pianist, only 17 years old, check him out : )
