  • General

    I love learning and the process of learning. I love reading, which is part of why I love learning. I am a music fan - there is very little that I don't like. I just graduated with my bachelor's degree - in math, if you can believe it. I've already started checking into master's programs (call me a glutton for punishment). Currently I'm waiting for the new year to start so that I can begin teaching 7th grade math for a local school district. I'm the mother of the coolest 14-year-old you could ever meet, and I've been a wife for over 16 years. I love my husband more every day, even on days when he's driving me to the looney bin.

    Favorite band is Rush.

  • Movies

    I'm actually not a huge movie buff, and pretty much like anything I've seen - with few exceptions (Final Destination, I'm looking at you).

  • Television

    There's lots of things I see an episode or two of and enjoy, but I don't see it often enough to remember the name. Lately, I've become a Heroes convert, and I don't like missing episodes of Deadliest Catch. I was buzzing on Jon & Kate Plus 8 until they both turned into camera hog-douchebags. I'm pretty sure that when school starts in August, all TV watching will fall by the wayside.

    Right now, Mike & Brandy, my nephew and his wife. Expecting a new baby after the devastation of the one that died a couple of years ago demonstrates great strength and perseverance, as well as the guts to try again. And through it all, their oldest child has never suffered one iota and their marriage has only gotten stronger. You go guys! Your baby has no idea how lucky he/she is to have such strong, wonderful parents!
