Setsudan started in the summer of 2006, when Guitarist Krys Bangert and Drummer Kevin Noon met up after discussing musical influences online.
The two got on very well and started to jam together at local practice rooms in the subsequent months; the band progressed well and started to incorporate many alternative and progressive elements into the music.
In late 2007 after auditioning multiple bassists, James Watkin joined the band. His knowledge and skill with multiple instruments made a great addition. But unfortunately due to work commitments James couldn’t spend enough the time with the band and had to leave.
Starting mid 2008 the search for another bassist began and as a result Chris Dean joined the band. Another talented multi-instrumentalist, his diverse influences and experiences fit the band very well and work quickly progressed on new material.
In late November 2008, after much soul searching, Kevin decided to leave the band to pursue other non musical projects. As one of the founding members of the band, he will be greatly missed, but we wish him well in whatever he decides to pursue in future.
Setsudan are currently looking to recruit a drummer, keyboard player and vocalist to complete the line-up. Many tracks are already written and in the pipeline and site updates are soon to follow.
