We want to make sure everyone knows that being 'friended' on our MySpace page does NOT subscribe you to SETXPlaygroup.
Our MySpace page is merely an additional 'advertisement' and central location to post bulletins and other announcements. By not joining the list, you may miss out on some of the events we have planned.
In addition, we will remove anyone here who has not met with the group Moderators and/or attended a playdate within a reasonable amount of time.
This is the MySpace page for the Yahoo Group SETXPlaygroup.
SETXPlaygroup is group for planning and organizing playgroups and events for SETX moms and their families and making new local friends.
Most of us are as excited about the prospect of adult interaction as we are about our kids having playmates, so that's a big part of this group. We plan weekly daytime playdates every Wednesday and various other group events like a monthly Mom's night out (nursing babies always welcome), family get-togethers, and occasional out of town trips and weekend playdates.
This is NOT a drop-off playgroup or daycare of any type.
We particularly invite moms who follow attachment parenting philosophies to join our group as you will find other like-minded moms here.
Click on the "join this group" link to request membership and a moderator will review your request as soon as one of us can get to it. Our group moderators are Amy & Heather.
If you have any questions and/or comments, please feel free to contact us. We are based in Beaumont, TX and hold all of our weekly meetings in and around Beaumont. Please join the group to get in on the conversations and activities.
Though we support families who have an arrangement that allows Dad to be home with the kids, we have chosen to keep this group for women only. No men will be approved for membership to the group.

Most of our ListMoms are between 21 and 35 years old, with children from infancy through 5 years old. We welcome Moms in the Golden Triangle who are looking for things to do with the younger set during the week while older siblings are in school or Dad is working.
We plan weekly playdates on Tuesday evenings and on Wednesday mornings, once a month 'Mom's Night Out' chance for our ListMoms to have some kid-free time, and occasional out-of-town trips. We also have a cleaning/organize your home co-op, and a Babysitter Referral database for our ListMoms to access.
We also encourage 'unofficial' playdates between ListMoms anytime you feel like it!
