Seven Day Sonnet may be a relatively new band on the Modern Rock/Alt. Metal scene with their current lineup being finalized in July of 2008. However, this Chicago five-piece holds an uncompromisingly professional approach when it comes to writing, recording and performing.
Seven Day Sonnet has already shared the stage with such national acts as Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Bury Your Dead, Janus, Chimaira, Bobaflex, Spineshank, The Chariot, Attack Attack!, and more, earning enthusiastic fans at each step along the way.
In February, 2009 the band teamed up with Producer/Dark New Day front man Brett Hestla for work on what would become their debut album “Reprisal.” Known for his past work with bands such as Framing Hanley and Tantric, Hestla took an active role in shaping the overall sound of the record, even lending his vocal talents by singing backup throughout the album. “Brett’s experience as a producer and raw creativity as a musician was a perfect fit for us. We were blown away by what he was able to get out of us.”
With or without label support, Seven Day Sonnet plans to tour and take an active approach in getting their music heard by audiences abroad. In the meantime, check out their debut album “Reprisal” now!

Hell of a show last night boys, hanks so much for rocking it like a bunch of pimps! Needless to say, the mere sight of the food that was eaten at 4am gave me enough heartburn to make Phil Anselmo sound like Miley Cyrus by comparison.
The feeling in my pants about this show on Saturday keeps getting more intense. I'm gonna change the name of your band to Seven Day Boner at this rate.
Even in the depths of Penny Road Pub's basement, you managed to kick the shit out of the music. The Butchers knives aren't nearly as sharp and clean as the tunes were, despite the high-dollar PA system cutting out every 3 minutes.
Sup guys?? How have you been? hope things are going good, looks like they are :P just wanted to stop by and say AWESOME job on your album. Very well done. If you guys ever get to Colorado let us know, we would love to come and see you guys. Anyway good luck with everything, and keep making music!!!
