In 2002, UK Midlands based rock band “SevenDayz” emerged with an exciting and fresh sound, combining excellent musicianship with powerful songs and strong melodies to make this a band to be reckoned with. They are currently touring around the Midlands area, building a huge reputation for themselves and an ever-increasing fan base.
SevenDayz debut CD “Deadly Sinz”, received an array of encouraging reviews from sources such as: rock247online, AOR-FM Radio, Fireworks magazine, Channel 4 Music and countless comments from ‘myspace’ friends and fans who bought the CD, which was recorded and mixed at Mad Hat Studios with Mark Stewart, (sound man for Magnum and many more respected recording artistes).
Managing to capture the heart and soul of the band on CD, the recording reflects the energy and passion of the band, mixing the many different influences of each member into one cooking pot and coming out with a very individual rock band; giving a very unique commodity in the world of rock these days.
The band was formed from the remnants of successful melodic rock band “Heaven Sent” back in 1992, supporting the likes of: Magnum, Skin and Steve Overland (ex FM) and with 10/10 reviews from ‘Frontiers’ and ‘Hard Roxx’ magazines to their credit.
SevenDayz set new standards amongst contemporaries, gigging and winning the ‘Battle of the Bands’ competitions and getting airplay on several American radio stations including being voted “Unsigned Band of the Month” in Denver Colorado.
Reincarnated in 2002, SevenDayz emerged with exciting new music, image with a heavier, melodic, AOR sound. Song writing continued, but there was still something missing…..
With John’s powerful lead vocals taking precedent over keyboards, we debated the possibility of introducing an additional guitarist to the mixture; what a good move that proved to be!
Steve Grocott (lead guitarist), who used to play alongside the drummer in a rock/fusion band, “Isolation”, was enticed into SevenDayz. Already having a vested interest in the band, he accepted without hesitation. Ever since, he has brought new ideas and dimension with his awesome guitar skills and song writing capabilities.
Over the last five years the band’s song writing and live performances have continued to go from strength to strength bringing excitement and entertainment to the masses. Looking to support bigger bands further a field, they would like to showcase their material to a wider audience.
In 2007, SevenDayz were fortunate enough to support Danny Vaughn (Ex Tyketto) at JB’s in Dudley and were amazed by the response from the audience.
More recently SevenDayz performed at Z Rocks 08 Festival In Birmingham for Z Records and attracted lots of interest and new fans.
SevenDayz, recently signed to New York AOR Record label "KIVEL RECORDS" are working on their debut album, which will deliver a slightly heavier but more melodic edge to be released later in the Summer/Autumn of 2009. Already working on the follow up, SevenDayz are very excited and at the same time gratefull of the position they are in.
The band draw their influences from artistes such as Dare, Hardline, Harem Scarem, Journey, Magnum, Mr Big, Thin Lizzy, Thunder, Tyketto, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Winger and many more, to encapsulate their unique sound. To compliment this, three part vocal harmonies add the finishing touches to their product.
SevenDayz prides itself on it’s abilities to deliver the same quality performance live as they do on CD and continue to do so with passion.
On the lookout for management and promotion agency interest to take them to the next level, SevenDayz are experienced enough to handle the most prestigious venues as well as being humble enough to deliver the same performances to smaller low key ‘shin digs‘.
