The best stylistic description is “groove pop.” Although rooted firmly in Blues as well as Rock and Roll, Seven Green produces original music that is filled with catchy hooks while maintaining a solid rhythmic, danceable base. Others have described their sound as “so infectious as to need antibiotics for…”, or a cross between Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews Band.
You have found the site for the most exciting band to hit the Rochester, NY music scene in quite some time. Our mission statement is to create a band where the important thing is the *groove*. Bass and drums form a solid rhythmic foundation for the guitars to sing and soar. We are influenced by 70's funk, Latin rhythms, Celtic song structures and a little bit of humor, just to scratch the surface. The goal is to create music that is fun and danceable.
