After barely a year, Seventh Gear has already proved to be a strong-willed force that has taken a stand on the front lines of the metal scene in southwestern Ontario. With a fierce live act and a sound compared to everybody from Metallica to Rage Against The Machine and Machine Head to Slayer, the trio seems more than ready to seize dominance and control of the scene they’re quickly becoming a major part of.
The band has already professionally recorded an EP, called Origen, and they’ve made it available for free in a stunning business move that sets them apart from most other bands of their pedigree (the link to download the album is below). They’ve played alongside the likes of Farewell To Freeway, been interviewed by popular e-zine The Sound Faction, and played shows in many cities including Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener, and Toronto. A Seventh Gear show is something to witness, and it’s guaranteed to get your head banging to their undeniable groove.
This power trio sounds like a much larger band than they actually are, and they make no bones about it – their goal is to sound larger than life, and to be larger than life. What does this mean for today’s heavy metal and hard rock scenes? It means they’re about to get a massive kick in the pants.
“Not only do they make amazing music, but they have something to stand behind and believe in and push them along the way. Dead Space is amazing!”
-The Sound Faction

Sorry I took so long to write back, I haven't been on myspace in awhile. I have been keeping tabs on Seventh Gear, and I've got to admit that I was fucking blown away by the progress you guys have made. I was just showing it off to the other guys in the band, they were impressed as well. We're just getting ready to do some raw recordings of our new material. It's alot heavier than the old stuff, hopefully it will come out ok. Anyway, keep it up, and I'll talk to you later.
