Seventh Harmonic are a female ensemble formed in Autumn 1999, creating dark atmospheric dreamscapes, drawing on many influences from Celtic through Eastern. The music blends an intoxicating mix of soaring violin and angelic vocals with ethno-symphonic overtures, receiving interest from film production companies and drawing comparisons to the likes of Dead Can Dance.
The multi-vocalist project went into hibernation in 2004, whereupon the band's founding members Caroline Jago and Eilish McCracken joined Sol Invictus. Sol Invictus went on to play with Arcana in Autumn 2008, and a friendship was formed between the two bands which led to Ann-Mari from Arcana offering to sing for Seventh Harmonic a year later. New material is being worked on and will see the light of day sometime in 2010, alongside reworked older material.
Hope you are feeling better too! Two manic weekends on the trot has obviously taken its toll. Alas! I..m still putting the final touches to my papers catalogue, so no rest
