SEVEN TIMES ME is a one-woman show, which is suitable for 13 year olds plus. Including dance, drama, poetry, visuals and music,
Kat François uses these mediums to tell a personal yet universal story, dealing with subjects such a siblings, puberty, domestic violence, relationships, and racisim and inner city life.
A vibrant performer and storyteller KAT FRANCOIS uses her skills in a unique and exiting format, to tackle real life issues and inspire those who see her show to overcome their own struggles. A thought provoking and touching piece of theatre.
COMPANY BIOGRAPHY
ZUPAKAT PRODUCTIONS is the brain child of Kat Francois.
Kat Francois is the world slam poetry champions 2005 and the BBC3 TV slam poetry champion. With a background in dance, theatre and poetry. Recently Kat Francois acted in “THE BLACKS” written by French playwright Jean Genet.
Resident poet at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East London.
She has performed in a multitude of venues, festivals and schools, nationally and internationally including.
Jerusalem, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Canada, Galway, Belfast, Derry, Mumbai.
Kat Francois is also a well-respected educator of young people having taught social health issues for over ten years, and also a youth worker for over 15.
Kat Francois works regularly In schools throughout the U.K, using poetry and creative writing to explore young peoples feelings and emotions.
CURRICUMLUM LINKS: English, drama, dance, sociology, health and social care.

Space: any space, suitable for performance of a one person show.
Power: music system, a visuals projector,
and minimal lighting. The show is capable of running on the most basic of technical requirements, if needed.

Guess what? I'M FINALLY OUT OF NEW YORK AND ON MY SPACEBABY ROAD TRIP!!! Been on the road for 3 1/2 weeks and just pulled into Atlanta this evening -- ATLANTA, that I've been talking about so long, though I'd never been. I "know" about 30 women here, I think. May take some time.

Seven Times Me Zupakat Productions This autobiographical performance combines storytelling, poetry and dance, to deliver a poignant representation of a woman's life. Kat Francois universalises her stories of growing up with a large family and abusive step-father, without letting the show degenerate into cliché. Francois' personality shines through her performance; honest, open, funny, yet also often angry or hurt, she never shies away from any aspect of her life, good or bad, and this openness serves her well. The show's only fault is that at times it can feel self-indulgent - always a risk for a one-woman, autobiographical show - but this is only a minor niggle. Kat is a gifted performer who offers a unique and original show of interest to anyone who appreciates skilful use of the English language. The show is excellent. It is engaging and poignant, funny and moving. Rich with history/herstory that the audience easily relate to, resonate with and recognise. The simplicity and complexity of the story is well captured, well crafted, excellently delivered! 7 Times Me... One to see!
