Seven Years On have disbanded after nearly four years battling in the name of Rock. Many thanks to people who came to gigs and listened to EPs, we hope that you liked what we did. We all had a jolly splendid time.
You'll either be pleased or outraged to learn that we all intend to continue playing music. Gareth is genetically programmed to write songs, which have of late take the form of scuffed, intelligent pop songs. He's going to continue to share these with the public through a new band called The Blowbacks, which features Andy rhythmically hitting drums. Phil and I meanwhile have somehow found ourselves providing bass and guitar to a bunch of inspired reprobates named The Dacoits. Please have a listen to both bands.
Cheers,
Neil
"Seven Years On are a band that has generated a lot of buzz recently and we were about to be shown exactly why so many people are tipping them for bigger things. This four piece ran through an energetic set of brilliantly crafted songs that sit somewhere between rock and indie, they create a wonderful balance of light and shade, power and restraint and they damned near blew off the collective socks off of the audience. How many people who were there can honestly say that they didn’t go home singing..”its not impossible..”? Well can you?" Dave Franklin, Review of Swindon Shuffle gig, 21st July 2007
