"Seven Years On are a band that has generated a lot of buzz recently and we were about to be shown exactly why so many people are tipping them for bigger things. This four piece ran through an energetic set of brilliantly crafted songs that sit somewhere between rock and indie, they create a wonderful balance of light and shade, power and restraint and they damned near blew off the collective socks off of the audience. How many people who were there can honestly say that they didn’t go home singing..”its not impossible..”? Well can you?" Dave Franklin, Review of Swindon Shuffle gig, 21st July 2007

Attempting to sum up a band like Seven Years On in a few catchy paragraphs is much like trying to nail jelly to a wall (admittedly I've never tried the jelly thing, but I would imagine it to be quite difficult). It's even harder when it's a band that manages to twist their vastly different musical backgrounds into compelling music that manages to be dark, pretty and melodic. Rest assured that there's a little bit of scuffed up pop goodness in the mix, fighting it out with noisy guitars and taut rhythms. Three members of the band used to play in Latitude Blue, who played lots of gigs and were lucky enough to work with Deep Elm and some other nice label people.
As you read this, Seven Years On are in the cycle of practising, writing and recording songs whilst playing as many shows as they can book. If you'd like to help, say hello, or let them know if you can actually nail jelly to a wall then drop a mail to: band@sevenyearson.com
A video for Nails produced by the most excellent Jim at Evil Twins. The guy is a legend and we love him loads!

Hello 7years on! After several months hibernating in the studio we are playing Riff’s on the 5th of April, though i guess you already know about this. (this is my feeble and somewhat time consuming attempt at self promotion! ) Hope you are well, love THE DACOITS xxx
Thanks for that Mr Kilford ;-) anyway last night's set = superb, up there with the performance you gave at the Shuffle, really enjoyable night and that version of "Starting Fires" at the end was sublime
God that zippy is a right suck up :) he means it though. The apartment??? make you sure wangle some free food out of them after sound check, and don't let damo know there is a grand piano on stage, he may run amuck
I reckon a Seven Years on Mini-Album is in order, you have some incredible material in the form of "Impossible" "Nails" "In Limbo" "Starting Fires" "I'll Take My Chances" would be great to see them released on a CD EP/Mini Album (maybe add the Nails video as a CD Rom) if I had the money i'd form a label and release it myself!! really looking forward to you guys playing Songs of Praise next week, always a pleasure to have you playing
Hope you had a great christmas and new year!! Weve just finished our 2nd CD, songs are now up on our myspace.
