SEVERED SERENITY BIO 2006 / 2007
The Kelowna based SEVERED SERENITY originally began as a death metal project in the summer of 2000 recording 4 demos with founding members Steve Bifford and Dave Bonnycastle and playing numerous shows with bands like Thor [fathom/sudden death records] , Exhumed [relapse records] , Infernal Majesty [galy records] , Kataklysm [nuclear blast records], 3 inches of blood [roadrunner records] , Stutterfly [maverick records] , Cry of the afflicted [soildstate records] , Divinity [nuclear blast records] to name a few and Headlining many of their own Club , All ages and Arena shows in 2006 and 2007 . Now in the the year 2007 with the addition of bassist Cole G , drummer Eric Rehlinger , SEVERED SERENITY has fused the elements of Prog/Power. Metal with Death Metal to create a new distinct sound. With exposure from Jackson guitar endorsement ads in guitar world and positive press and radio airplay SEVERED SERENITY is bound to gain more attention from both the Death and Power metal community. SEVERED SERENITY’s latest release “Out of the Shadow” [2005] has definitely turned the heads of those sceptical in the past and have captivated new metal audiences worldwide. The band is currently working on a new untitled full length cd due out in 2008 . SEVERED SERENITY have truly proven that they are 100% pure Metal !
