I've been keeping an eye on this band and what i see is music that is evolving into in new hard rock/heavy metal sound and "I LIKE IT".. this band is making their way into the Dallas music scene with high energy stage performances with new music and an explosive original sound.
When you see Severed Sol perform you will hear music that is tight, raw and original with lyrical vocals and instrumental artistry that is profound at present they have a small ,but loyal fan base that is rapidly growing.and i look for 2010 to be great year for them.
As a crowd pleaser, they do try to add a cover song or two in their set, But all covers are performed with the same energy, intensity and artistry as the original artist intended.
Severed Sol promises to give their fans the best show ,they have to give, and they are determined to keep the bands southern roots as its heart,soul and core of artistic originality. The band will never bow, or even bend to outside influences such as critics, trends, styles, sounds or others Genres of music. .

Severed Sol is a Hard Rock /Grunge / Heavy Metal band based in Dallas, Texas. With an original powerful and aggressive Hard Rock/Heavy Metal sound,
Influenced by a wide range of Rock ‘n’ Roll recording giants such as Godsmack, Alice 'n' Chains, Seven Dust, Sound Garden, COC and Disturbed just to name a few ,these influences have played a big part in creating Severed Sol’s unique heavy metal versatile sound.
The Band originally began forming 2006 , with Brain (vocals) and Robert (bass) both are original members and still with the band.
Finely in late 2009 a group of artist got together in a jam room and clicked and formed a new Severed Sol made up with Brian (Lead vocals) Robert (Bassist and Backup Vocals) Sean (Lead guitar) and Vader on (Drums)
Severed Sol’s members are all seasoned experienced musicians and high energy stage performers who have come from established Dallas/Ft Worth area Bands,
Severed Sol has performed at several local venues in the Dallas metro area such as Tomcats in Deep Ellum, (Dallas tx) The Dead Dog Barn, (Dallas tx) Vampire Lounge, (Dallas tx) Reno's Chop Shop, (Dallas tx) Sugar Shack, (Dallas tx), Smitty's Pub, (Dallas tx) Skillman St Bar, (Dallas tx) Pitchers Sports Bar (Arlington) and O’Rileys (Dallas tx) just to name a few.
The band has been pretty busy as of late, rehearsing and performing their live shows,growing a new fan base as well as taking the time to write and record new material. the band is wanting to release a new Demo CD later in 2010.
