Dj Severe is a 29 year old hip hop dj/producer hailing from Hull, East Yorkshire. I started djing in 94, after watching Juice and then saw my first DMC vid 2 years later and was blown away by what I saw. Since then I have been a scratch happy vinyl junkie, djing with some of the biggest names in the Hip Hop/Turntablist world.
At the moment I am djing with Mad Skilz, alonside the legend that is DJ Fast T (and down in sunny Brighton my hombre Scratch n Sniff), currently residents at two local Hip Hop nights, "Greatest Beats" at The Lamp in Hull, and "Rockit" at Revolution in York. Also we are involved in many other projects, from exibition routines and showcases, to up and coming musicians nights, and Council sponsered events such as the Grassroots festivals.
On the production tip, I have recently got my first MPC and can't believe I managed for so long without one!! I have produced extensively for Hull based artists UMC, Redeye, Baby Jinx, and Projekt Feenix (new album 'Kidnap Rap' due soon), and am currently working on my solo album (at this rate, probably be finished for 2020!!).
The tracks I've posted on this page are some of my favourites, I hope some people out there like them.
