Music
Hmm, music, let's see:
Against Me!, Dead Milkmen, Violent Femmes, Screaming Trees, Kinks, Beck, The Ramones, Wheatus, Pink Floyd, then a bunch of 80's stuff.
Movies
Dream A Little Dream, Empire Records, Rocky Horror, Princess Bride, A Knight's Tale...do you see a trend here?
Television
The Office, My Name is Earl, How I Met Your Mother, CSI (the original & the Navy one), my favorite one is over: Friends.
Books
Harry Potter series, Gunslinger series, The Golden Key, David Eddings books, everything my sister writes.
Heroes
I guess that my hero's aren't necessarily "heroic" in the traditional sense of the word. My Grandmother for having 8 children and putting them all out on their own and always having a good time, my Aunt Jan for dealing so well with anything that life throws at her and my sister Heather for sticking to her guns and doing what she loves even when people told her to stop and get "a real job!".
Well, I do admit that I snorted with derision at the vampire named Bill.
Bill? Really?
But the idea of people using vampire blood like a drug is very intriguing...as is the idea of vampires coming out of the coffin and living amongst humans.
Ahh, see it so reminded me of Buffy. It was Buffyesque...or would that be Whedonesque? ;)
True Blood was really good - we got HBO JUST to watch this series. Only one nit: holy graphic, kinky sex scenes, Batman!! Apparently, it's based off Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series, which I haven't read. Sookie (main character) is awesome, though...
yea I just got your emails today! congratulations! sorry i've been a little mia. my kidneys took a dump again and i've been super busy with work and getting chris ready for the horror convention this past weekend. i miss you!
