Aileen's Interests
General
Poetry, art & illustration, chillin' with friends, doting on my man, learning about different cultures, going to shows, theater, traveling, learning new languages, fitness, bartending, capoeira, dance, etc.
Music
This song goes out to any girl who feels the weight of society's ideals of beauty upon their shoulders.
I enjoy:
Massive Attack
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Andrea Bocelli
Portishead
Radiohead
The Gathering
Incubus
Snow Patrol
Sarah Brightman
Rasputina
Silverchair
Dream Theater
Kamelot
AFI
Collide
Justin Timberlake
Rise Against
Sage Francis
Rancid

Sting
The Police
Lacuna Coil
Josh Groban
Elvis Costello
Music I do not enjoy:
I loathe country music, elevator music, Muzak (doesn't it just SOUND like some weird mutation of something good?), Snore-ah Jones, and ignorant rap. I don't hate all rap--but I really don't give a damn about your Benz, your ice, your bitches, etc. Rap is a close cousin to poetry, and likewise, it's being abused for self-gratification and a quick buck.

About me: Kickback yet temperamental, sweet yet hard-headed... I'm pretty cool to get along with, I guess. That is, if you can ever get ahold of me!
I'm married--happily married--to a sexy guy named Justin. He likes making up silly songs and dancing. I do too. That's why we're so good together.
I enjoy poetry--the good kind, the kind that is searingly honest, sometimes painful, sometimes disgusting, sometimes euphoric, the kind that people work really hard on and cry and sweat over. If your poetry consists of red roses, tears, broken hearts, and someone cutting him/herself, I don't want to read it. I've probably seen that same poem arranged in a different order thousands of other times and smiled and nodded politely. If you write this kind of poetry--don't give up. Read good poetry, and keep working on it.
My friends are awesome and incredibly good-looking. Of course, that is important in a friend.
On monday is for beauty and the beast. I am soooo nervous. And then sometime in the fall is the tryouts for aida. Maybe you could try and help some time.
Aileen!! You're the one person that I really pay attention to your thoughts and comments on my pics. That part about the emo shot made me laugh!!! I'm actually trying to get better with the camera and ideas rather than depending too much on the editing aspect. I think I'm a little too partial to black backgrounds... I use them so often. But you're right, they really do make a picture pop! I'm just working with lighting. Glad you caught the edge of the mirror. I emphasized it just for that reason!! Thanks again my love. You're comment made my day! XO
Hahaha! Just got your comment about GH and I am so happy someone else is as hooked as me. You know all those times you were yelling at Brian... I was too!! I hate him! He annoys the crap out of me! And I looooooooove Steve. I tried getting a girl I work with to look him up as she has numerous connections... yea he'd love that... some psycho fan searching him out. He's like the perfect guy tho, phobias and all!
Keep watching! This season's not the best I've seen but it's getting better by the episode! XO
This is true...I could use a few photos like that, myself, but the problem is that I've always been extremely camera shy. :-P In any case, good luck to you. You should try swimming laps, something like 2000 at a time--honestly, it's such a good workout and you don't feel yourself sweat and you don't feel your bones jarring against one another. It's quite soothing; clears the mind. If you need any pointers on strokes and routines, just ask me. :-)
Aileen! I'm in desperate! I am trying out for two musicals. Beauty and the beast which is at my school for next year and then Aida in november. For BatB I'm probably going to sing I still believe-ms. saigon. As for aida I'm not sure. Did I tell you I do track now.
