Sex & Missiles started in June of 2007 with John and Alex finding Nathan on Craigslist DC. Things clicked very quickly for Alex and Nathan, but started out shakey with John. After the first two jams John stopped answering his phone, stopped returing e mails, and dissapeared for a little over two months. During this time, Nathan and Alex were able to get a good number of songs together and were able to find Pete, also on craigslist DC. Shortly after Pete joined the group they began looking for a new singer. In the middle of the search John showed up without a word and began laying down vocals.
The first gig was played in the fall of 2007 at the Velvet Lounge before it changed ownership. The full length album was recorded and realeased within a year.
Sex & Missiles played many gigs at many venus including the Rock and Roll Hotel, Jammin Java, and Sonar (main stage).
After going through some crazy lineup changes, trying very hard, and waiting for things to come together, Nathan decided that he needed to go a different direction. Sex & Missiles came to an end on October 23rd 2009 with the final show at Jammin Java.
The last line up, excluding John and the Rapper (who wishes to remain nameless), have begun working on new material and plan to see where it takes them. More info coming soon.

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
