SEXISTALK can be interpreted as SEX-IS-TALK, as a SEXIST TALK or as however you like. The project spawns from a musical experiment from two musicians with completely different backgrounds (although with similar ideologies) who got together to do music in a style they had never produced before, in a way they had never tried before.
Back in the day, before playing around with synths and cowbells, Pivo was a Black Metal idol and with his band Agaures he played with bad mofos like Dark Funeral, Marduk and Gorgoroth. A true badass. Aps on the other hand, before swearing faith, love and devotion to his copy of Ableton Live, aside from being front man for bands like Phat or P.S., or singing a la Tricky with Sur Carabela, worked side by side with production mogul Oswaldo Rodriguez [myspace.com/surrecords], recording vocals and guitars on TV and radio ads aired all around Latin America.
In September of 2007 these two drunks decided to try to create something new (at least for them). The proposal is simple: Fun music, sleazy lyrics, lots of alcohol and cigarettes and, last but never least, drunk hot chicks. As simple as that. Electro, house, rock, broken beats and old school funk tunes are the duo’s main influences, mixed up with literary references and everyday life experiences, meaning there’s life besides the dancefloor. Their first work, “Kiss My Golden Stuff”[ MAXIMIZE RECORDS – 2008], translates all of SEXISTALK’s true sexist soul.
Live, armed with midi controllers, synths and live vocals, they bring the best from both worlds, playing their own compositions, as well as crazy remixes, mashups and re-edits, creating unique atmosphere, that will surely fulfill all your bootyshaking needs.
During its relatively short career, the duo has already been lined up with artists such as Stephen Dewaele and Steven Slingeneyer (SOULWAX/2MANYDJS/1MANPARTY), Larry Tee, Treasure Fingers, Mixhell, The Twelves, Database, Killer On The Dancefloor, Roots Rock Revolution, Renato Cohen, Montage, Digitaria and many others, in well renowned clubs in Brazil such as Clube Glória and D.Edge in Sao Paulo, Roxy and Deputamadre in Belo Horizonte and Circuit Club in Florianópolis. Currently SEXISTALK is resident of CREW (myspace.com/crewsp) (appointed by Veja magazine as São Paulo's best party in 2008) that takes place in the clubs Gloria and D.Edge.

You can read it as "Sex is Talk", interpret it like a "Sexy Stalk" but never try to put in question the most important concept we are not able to justify: the one-line-through monologue about the sexist attitude of not-talking. We're not working against love values, but using them for our own benefits: It's not our way of living, it's the way of thinking of others that causes misfortunes. By the way, a man needs to be a man, a woman needs to be a woman, so why can't we just do it?
