The Sex Slaves sound like they've just stumbled out of a rat-infested, garbage-strewn alleyway after an all-night binge on drugs, booze, cigarettes, and cheap sex.Their music is a sleazy, trashy excursion into the sordid, vomit-splattered underworld of Rock n' Roll where absolutely anything goes and where very few participants actually get out alive. It's a sinfully enticing noise born out of the gutter and raised on a deserted street corner in the Lower East Side of New York City with no future in sight. It's recklessly clothed head-to-toe in denim and black leather with a permanent, sneering scowl adorning its miserably pale face. It ruthlessly wields a razor-sharp switchblade knife, often times slashing its very own flesh deep down to the bone just to watch itself bleed. It's a magnificent addiction, a pleasurable perversion, a lewd and crude musical art form worthy of undying devotion. It's only Rock n' Roll, and the Sex Slaves wear it well. Play it LOUD, or Don't Play It At All!!
So phony rock n' roll be damned, because the SEX SLAVES are pushing action like good drugs across the entire universe, from the dirty gutters of NEW YORK CITY to the gaping craters of Venus. And there hasn't been one slimy dive in this whole wretched world that hasn't been given a sleaze-pop makeover, and a hefty dose of sass by these three street walkin' cheetahs, that's for sure. Having spent 15 months on the road in 2005/06 in support of their infectious, bombastic, delicious, and diseased sophomore album, BITE YOUR TONGUE, and two previous tours in Japan and elsewhere for their bright, buzzing, snotty, hook-heavy, self-released debut album NIKKI, the SEX SLAVES have proven themselves the HARDEST (working) band in the shitty biz, scratching their way onto bed posts and into rock n' roll immortality one gig at a time. And if that ain't enough, they contaminated the airwaves all across the country with "THANK GOD FOR JACK DANIELS," their shameless ode to sin, the big hit that's making all the kids flip.
