Sexual Buddha started in 1994 in Chad and my livingroom. We invited our friend Rob over to hang out and he brought his friend Tim. After a couple hours of philosophical debate we decided to start playing music together. I wanted to play congas at the time so Chad invited his classmate Stu to come play drumset. After a couple months of getting some songs together, we took it to Iowa City. We played bars and house parties for awhile and with our friends Mudbone, we became THE Funk party bands of Iowa City. Rob's cousin Nate D. started introducing the band and became the Sexual Buddha emcee. Chad's brother Nate started playing hand drums after he graduated high school in 1995. We played mainly in southeast Iowa until 1998 when the band took a break for a year or so. The death of Chad and Nate's father Louis in 1999, brought all of us together again. We started playing again (this time without Stu as he opted to stay in Chicago). We quickly regained our status as the Iowa City party band and played until 2001, when the band took another break. We all moved back to the area in 2005 and added new member Cort, to the lineup. Stu returned for a couple gigs but left again for Illinois. We are currently in the process of recording a CD and are more serious about playing music than ever.
This is a very breif bio. and I invite you all to share the stories of the good times you, I, and the band have had.
I have been away from Myspace for a while, because I had been painting until last week. This was the end of one year and 3 months of intense 15 hours work days, 7 days a week. I painted 10 large canvasses, and I'm really excited with the result!
This is a pic of painting number 10 that I finished last week. It's still untitled. The photo doesn't really show the intensity of the several orange and gold colors. I also used lot's of gold and golden glitter This one is my favorite. It really looks spectacular, when one sees it live. Acrylic on Canvas ( 72in x 48in / 1m83 x 1m21 )

I hope all is well with you. Stay strong and inspired.
Those are great videos. As good as Hall and Oats are there version of Ohh Child just pales in comparison. But what the hell was that second number they did. Crazy 70's.
Hope all is well with you. I haven't been on myspace that much lately, because I was painting.
Here is a a pic of my last painting. I worked on this piece for about 3 months. " Cindy, Bibi and Beyonce ", Acrylic on Canvas (72in x 60in),(1m83 x 1m52). ..
I wish you a great and inspiring day.
