Mankind is like dogs, not gods - as long as you don't get mad they'll bite you - but stay mad and you'll never be bitten. Dogs don't respect humility and sorrow.. Man lowers his head and lunges into civilization, forgetting the days of his infancy when he sought truth in a snowflake or a stick. Man forgets the wisdom of the child. Never speaks a word, can't be wrong. The fact was I had the vision... I think everyone has... what we lack is the method. Colleges being nothing but grooming schools for the middleclass non-identity which usually finds its perfect expression on the outskirts of the campus in rows of well-to-do houses with lawns and television sets is each living room with everybody looking at the same thing... and thinking the same thing at the same time. What's in store for me in the direction I don't take? My fault, my failure, is not in the passions I have, but in my lack of control of them. Great things are not accomplished by those who yield to trends and fads and popular opinion. All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together. Maybe that's what life is...a wink of the eye and winking stars....
