SHOW THE MEDIA THE OF THE PEOPLE STAND WITH US AND SAVE PUBLIC ACCESS 12/08/09 @ Noon PRESS CONFERENCE to save Community Access TV We
invite you to attend a press conference, Tuesday, December 8th at 12pm,
to be held in front of the studios of channels 26 & 27 (415 Tijeras
NW, SE entrance of the Old Bernalillo County Courthouse, facing the
Civic Plaza). Albuquerque, NM--On Nov. 17th former Mayor Marty
Chavez cancelled Quote-Unquote Inc.'s valid 4 year contract to run
public access TV Channel 27 and Encantada TV Channel 26. This action
appears to be solely political and perhaps a mean to reward his
campaign supporters. If we don't defeat this maneuver it is
CERTAIN the channels will go dark on Janua
"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press

Many thanks to Jason Reed and the SFBC. This is one of the best open mics in the country. The Sound; extraordinary. The Venue; intimate. The Fellowship; genuine. Wah do!
David( Race Car) Alyassin Rocked the house at the Santa Fe Brewing Company Last night. After a night of relentless talent and performances from local and traveling musicians. David was last to take the stage with two new songs. The crowd was moved to sing along to the ever so original line and hook to his new song which I believe is simply called Love. Look out for this song. and don't miss a chance to see and hear David perform LOVE Live.
Lucky me Lucky Us. I had the good fortune of "Front Row and Center" At Back Road Pizza To hear Lucy Barna, The clarity and beauty of her voice and songs will take you on a musical Journey that you won't forget, My personal favorite is" Dreaming in Black and White", She also writes of much needed fresh political perspectives in" I am American'. Go see her now before you have to stand in line for a ticket somewhere, But that would be worth while too! Troy Garrity Word is she also plays here at SFBC open mic on Wednesday nights.
