About me:
Food Not Bombs is a radical direct action political group which serves regular free community meals and provides food support for radical left events and demonstrations.
We recover vegetarian food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, farmers markets, dumpsters and restaurants. We have no hierarchy and operate on principles of consensus. We cook in the houses and apartments of our volunteers and haul most (if not all) of our food on foot, by bicycle or wagon. If you'd like to see pictures, check out our web site.
The SF chapter is one of the oldest, having been active since the late 1980s.
We currently share meals six days each week
If you'd like to volunteer or help us out, check out our web site
