Foster Kitten Program Manual, Think Like a Cat:How to raise a well adjusted Cat by Pam Johnson-Bennet, Hand–Raising the Orphaned Kitten
About me: Every year in the spring and summer months, thousands of unwanted or homeless of kittens are born, many of them ending up at our facility The Adoption Pact between ACC and The SF SPCA enables us to try to save the lives of all underage kittens and puppies abandoned in our city's shelters. But in order to save lives we need your help!
Many kittens that we recieve have not reached the 2 pound minimum weight required to undergo spay/neuter surgery. These kittens are very small and often require more individual care. Fostering requires a flexible schedule and a personal commitment to the kittens. Yes, it may be alot of work but the rewarding experience is well worth it. As a foster parent you will help then grow into confident and well mannered family house kittens!
Who I'd like to meet: The San Francisco SPCA is asking animal lovers to sign up with our Foster Parents Registry.
If you have any questions feel free to email us at foster@sfspca.org. To begin your time as a Foster Parent, call The San Francisco SPCA at 415-554-3087 to sign up for a Volunteer orientation!
Hi, Thank you for adding me as a friend and thank you for everything you do for the cats and dogs at the SFSPCA! We need to be their voices and caretakers and I appreciate everything you do. :)
